Members to inform Leader by telephone at least a week before the meeting date whether or not they intend to attend the session. Our group meetings are held between 10:30 and 12:30 on alternate Wednesdays from September to June.
We have a programme covering various genres, styles and differing medias. At our most recent meeting we practiced using soft pastels, which was good fun. Plenty of dirty hands by the end, but everyone, who had a go, enjoyed the experience.

The previous meeting, to this, the subject was “Pop Art.” Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein for example. Participants chose whatever media they liked and drew or painted a picture, in the style of a pop artist.
None of us are experts, in any way, the whole ethos, of the group is to paint and or draw in a friendly manner, to encourage one another and to never criticise. That is why we changed the title, of our group to, “Painting and Drawing for Fun.”
If any of this appeals to you and you would like to give it a go, please do get in touch and I will send you detail of our next meeting along with the current programme.
The attached photos are from, both of the meetings, mentioned above.
The first is three examples of the same picture, the second and third, are examples of Pop Art and finally, the joker in our pack, a depiction of “Alice in Sunderland.”
